Beach Volleyball in the East of Singapore

Beach volleyball in East Coast Park Singapore

It has been a good year of beach volleyball in sunny Singapore, where I have been living in for two years since moving from Hong Kong. For the most part, my stay has been quite a pleasant experience and I am really happy to have found the place that brings me the most inner-peace: East Coast Park.

Location

Amber Beacon, Parkland Green (East Coast Park)

I never really had a chance to play beach volleyball before, and was surprised to find out that there is a fairly big community in Singapore. Since knowing about this I have spent most of my Saturday afternoons learning to play beach volleyball with a really fun and down-to-earth group of players, who some of which I can now call friends.

I took a couple of photos from a small 2v2 co-ed tournament that was organised recently, and since then - even though writing is not my forte - I was inspired to start publishing content again through blogging. If you are a typical indoor player looking to get a taste of beach volleyball, looking to get out of downtown Singapore, or just want to chill by the beach (without all the partying that typically happens in Sentosa Island), I would suggest you hit up East Coast Park. A good starting point would be Amber Beacon tower, as shown in one of the shots below of a guy going for a kill!

I hope this inspires you to go out there and chill by the beach. The park is also a relaxing place to walk around in the evening.
